Lt. Jean Schrum of Manning to Report At Camp Carson, Colo.
Manning - Miss Jean Schrum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Schrum, has received her commission as a second lieutenant in the army nurse corps and has been ordered to report at Camp Carson, Colo., Feb. 3.
Miss Schrum was graduated from Manning high school in 1940 and from St. Anthony Hospital School of Nursing in Carroll with the September class, 1943.
Since that time she has been at the hospital as general duty night supervisor and also on private cases.
All of Mr. and Mrs. Schrum's family are now identified with the service. A son, Donald, is with the medical division of the army in New Guinea and a son, Ray, is an aviation cadet in the student reserve.

Lt. Jean Schrum Is Engaged To Lt. H. Brandau
Manning -- Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Schrum announce the engagement of their daughter, Second Lieutenant Jean A. Shrum, of the army nurse corps, to Lieutenant Henry P. Brandau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Brandau of Hazelton, Pa.
Lt. Brandau is with the army ordnance department somewhere in England. Lt. Schrum is also in England.
