Eva Pearl Dodd, 83,

Eva Pearl Dodd, 83, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2007 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tenn. Eva Dodd had been living in Cumberland Care Center in Clarksville for the last few years. She was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Eva Dodd was born in Rockwell City, Iowa on April 3,1923, and moved to Webster City in1934. She graduated from Lincoln High School at Webster City in 1941. She was employed for a short time by Dr. Arnold Oosterhuis in Webster City. She then joined the U.S. Navy for four years and her rate was Chief Aviation Machinist Mate. After an honorable discharge, she married James William Dodd on April 21, 1947. She and her husband lived in Wisconsin until they decided to move to the South to farm and to help his parents running a nursing home. Their last move was to Clarksville for their retirement.
Eva belonged to Grace Lutheran Church in Clarksville and was very active in helping wherever she was needed. She loved the Lord, her family and friends with all her heart. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Dodd, and her parents, George and Ella Scheifele, and is survived by her son, Michael Denver Dodd of Homewood, Ill.; two sisters, Lula (Scheif) Baker of Webster City.
Morlene Sheifele Bell and her husband Richard Bell, Duncombe; two brothers-in-law, L.B. Dodd and wife Lenos, from Clarksville, and Troy Dodd and wife Maxine from Memphis, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.
