Pvt. Charlotte G. Brown and Pvt. Katherine Schachitano have completed the marine boot training at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Private Brown, daughter of Mrs. Don Gale, 714 Rose ave., has been assigned to duty at the marine barracks, Parris Island, S.C., as a clerk typist. Private Schachitano, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. Schachitano, 328 Jackson ave., has been sent o the marine barracks, Quantico, Va., to serve as supply clerk.

Two sons and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vito Schachitano, 328 Jackson ave., are home on furlough. Sgt Joe Schachitano is home for 30 days, after three years in England as a ground crew member of the 8th air force; Staff Sgt Tony Schachitano, who completed 35 missions in six months overseas and is now stationed at an airbase in Liberal, Kan., has a 20-day furlough and Katherine Schachitano of the marines has a 10-day furlough form the marine base at Quantico, Va. Their sister, Mrs. Sam Caudilere of Detroit, Mich., is also visiting at the Schachitano home. Joe Schachitano was married in London and expects his bride to come to America soon.
