Twenty Des Moines women were graduated Saturday from the Navy’s general indoctrination school for WAVES at Iowa State Teachers college, Cedar Falls, Ia.

Some of the graduates will be sent to one of the 13 schools in the nation now being used by the WAVES for advanced training. Others may be immediately assigned to active duty where qualified for such service.

Dorothy M. Roush, storekeeper, first class, in the WAVES, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Roush, 2719 Fifty-first place, on a 15-day leave. She is stationed at Seattle, Wash.

Mrs. Ralph Roush, 2719 Forty-first place, has returned from the west where she spent two weeks in Seattle, Wash and San Francisco and Los Angeles, Cal. On Sept 15 she attended the marriage of her daughter Miss Dorothy M. Roush to Mac New McCullough, jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. Mac Neal McCullough of Seattle. The bride served three years in the WAVES. After a wedding trip to Vancouver, the couple will reside in Seattle.
