Leave for WAVE Training

WAVE Leaves Today For Boot Training

Miss Ruth Rortvedt, 1810 East Locust street, Davenport, will leave today for Hunter college in New York City to begin her boot training in the WAVES. She was sworn in on Jan. 7, in Davenport.

Miss Rortevdt is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Rortvedt of Madison, Wis., and is a graduate of De Forest, Wis., high school.

She was formerly employed at the Victor Animatograph Co. Miss Rortvedt has three brothers serving overseas, Staff Sgt. Anthony and Cpl. Roy in the Southwest Pacific and Sgt. Edward in Northern Ireland.
