Phyllis Rogers Goes to Naval Training School at Stillwater
Phyllis Rogers, seaman second class, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.S. Rogers, 214 9th N.W., has completed her basic training and indoctrination course at the naval training school for WAVES. The Bronx, New York, and is proceeding to U.S. naval training school (Y-W), A&M college, Stillwater, Okla., Before she entered the naval service, Seaman Rogers was employed by Deneff & Duncan. She is a graduate of Mason City high school.

HOME ON LEAVE -- Phyllis Rogers, petty officer 3/c in the WAVES is home on 8-day leave, visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. M.S. Rogers, 214 9th N.W.
Yeoman Rogers entered the WAVES last December and upon completion of her boot training at Hunter College New York, she was sent to Stillwater, Okla. to take the 3 months yeoman course. At the end of the 2 months she was one of the highest in her group who received their ratings early.
Yeoman Rogers is now stationed in Washington, D.C., in the admiralty section of the office of the judge advocate general.
