Capt. Phyllis L. Propp

 

 

An Iowan, Capt. Phyllis L. Propp of Marshalltown, is the first woman to wear insignia of the Judge Advocate General's branch. She replaced a man as Post Judge Advocate at Fort Des Moines last Feb. 28. She is legal adviser to the commanding officer, reviews court martial cases, board proceedings and claims concerning army personnel and handles other legal problems. A law graduate of S.U.I, she formerly practiced in Mason City and Omaha.
