Marjorie Ellen Peterson was born Sept. 29, 1923 to Perry and Nellie Chalma Peterson. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1949 and attended State Teacher’s College (now University of Northern Iowa) in Cedar Falls, IA. When World War II started she joined the WACs. After training in Fort Dodge, she was transferred to San Diego and served until 1945. She then attended the University of Iowa where she graduated in 1949.
She was married to (1) Frederick Alan Beck (2) Christopher Perret and (3) John Marshall. She had two daughters with John Marshall.
Marjorie died Nov. 24, 2007 and is buried in Homewood Cemetery, Ellsworth, IA.
