Charlotte F. Peters in the WAVES at Arlington, Va., has been promoted from seaman second class to seaman first class. She is the niece of Mrs. E. P. Von Stein of North Liberty, with whom she has resided for a number of years.

Charlotte F. Peters, seaman first class in the WAVES, arrived Tuesday from Arlington, Va., for a 11-day leave with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. E.P. von Stein of North Liberty.

Charlotte Peters Becomes Bride of Edward W. Hansen in Baltimore
Mrs. E.P. Von Stein of North Liberty announces the marriage of her niece, Charlotte F. Peters, seaman first class in the WAVES, to Edward W. Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hansen of the Bronx, N.Y. The single ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Harold Bosley October 22 at the Mt. Vernon Place Methodist church in Baltimore, Md.
The bride, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Peters of Jesup, was attired in a rose colored gabardine dress with self trimmed buttons and black trimming. With it she wore black accessories.
Mrs. Hansen was graduated from Iowa City high school and prior to entering the WAVES was employed at the Peterson Baking Co. in Cedar Rapids. She received her indoctrination at Hunter college and has been stationed at Arlington, Va. She was discharged from service October 29.
The couple is residing at 415 North Ninth street in Richmond, Va, where the bridegroom is employed as a bus driver for the Richmond-Ashland Bus Co.
