Lieut. Hazel J. Pearson, of the army nurses corps at Camp Swift, Tex., is on a 10-day leave visiting at the home of M.R. Belknap, 4615 Ovid ave. She is also visiting the J. Pearson home at Maxwell, Ia.

Hazel Jean Pearson Shaver was born Sept. 21, 1919 to Nathan Jay and Lillian K. Pearson.
Lt. Pearson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Nurse Corps in India. She was married to Russell Douglas Shaver. Lt. Pearson served in World War II with the the Infantry in the South Pacific and China-Burma-India theaters of war.
