Marian Dyer Myers, formerly of Des Moines, was commissioned a second lieutenant recently upon graduation from the WAC officer school at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.

Women in War Work

Mrs. Marian Dyer Myers, on military leave from her position as managing editor of a group of Chicago community newspapers, has been commissioned a 2d lieutenant in the WAC. She was graduated with the 54th officer candidate class at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga, a specialists class of public relation officers. Lt. Myers, who was graduated from the University of Iowa, is the daughter of Judge Joseph A. Dyer, 640 N. Laramie ave. Her son, Thomas F. Myers III, is a seaman in the merchant marine.
