More than Half of Iowa WACs Have Immediate Kin in Service
Des Moines - More than 50 per cent of Iowa women serving in the Women's Auxiliary corps come from families which has at least one other member on the service.

Pvt. Hazel I. Mudd on duty at WAC headquarters, Ft. Eustis, Va., is the daughter of Elwood N. Hemingway of Tipton, veteran of Mexican Border service, when he was first lieutenant of Troop D, First Iowa cavalry. Her husband, Myron V. Mudd, is also in the service.
