Loses Husband in War
Traer Woman Enlists
Her husband gave his life for his country and now Eleanor J. Miller, 24, Traer, Ia., is dedicating her life to the service for the duration. On Saturday afternoon she was sworn into the WAC by Lt. Eleanor Lee, recruiting officer at the army station in the federal building.

Mrs. Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard H. Key, Traer, lost her husband on Sept. 14, when he was killed while serving in the Navy, attached to the Atlantic fleet at Natal, Brazil.
Her sailor husband, Floyd James Miller, was a ships cook first class. After he left for service, Mrs. Miller went to work with her father as automobile mechanic, and the experience she has had led her to sign up for the army air forces of the WAC as a mechanical worker.
Also in service from her family are a sister, Ramona Helen Key, pharmacists mate third class, WAVES; and a brother-in-law, Capt. Louis E. Morrison, Reinbeck, Ia., who has started his foreign duty.
