Lois M. Mielke

 

New Hampton -- Lois M. Mielke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Mielke, has received her call for active duty in the army nurses corps, and will report at Fort Lewis, Wash. She is a graduate of St. Olaf's college and was recently graduated from Western Reserve university in Cleveland

EXCHANGE NUPTIAL VOWS -- Miss Lois Mielke and Arthur J. Pieper exchanged nuptial vows at New Hampton, Sept 14. at 4:30 o'clock in a duble ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Theodore Fristschel, in St Paul's Lutheran church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J Mielke of New Hampton. She is a graduate of the New Hampton high school and St Olaf college at Northfield, Minn., and Western Reserve university at Cleveland, Ohio.

Shortly afer being graduated from Western Reserve university where she received a degree as graduate nurse, she entered the army nurses corps and spent a year in the Philippine islands during World war II.

The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo J. Pieper of Chicago, Ill. He is a graduate of Knox college at Galesburg, Ill. and received his M.A. degree in physics at the University of Wisconsin. He is now studying for his doctor's degree in physics there. During the war he served in the navy.
