Martha Anita McFadden was born Dec. 13, 1915 to Edward J. and Ida Williams McFadden. She died Aug. 29, 2005 and is buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Muscatine, IA.
Lt. Col. McFadden served with the U.S. Army Nurse Corps in World War II in the Southwest Pacific area. She also served post-war in Austria and Italy. She retired after having served 30 years as an Army nurse.
