Ruth M. Martin, Blairsburg IA
Ruth M. Martin, born Dec. 29, 1917 was the daughter of Carl J. and Anna Larson Martin. She was a Navy WAVE, taking her recruit training at the naval training school, Cedar Falls, IA and specialized work at Bloomington, IN. She was on duty at the hydrographic office at Suitland, MD and was discharged from there in 1945. She died Apr. 21, 2007 and is buried beside her husband, George E. Carlson at Woodlawn Cemetery, Acton, MA.
