Lt. Lois Ludemann

 

Wellsburg -- Second Lt. Lois Ludemann, who has been stationed in southern England for seven months, write that she enjoys her works as dietitian in a hospital very much. She received her commission at Schick general hospital at Clinton, Ia. She was at Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack and helped care for soldiers and civilians. Her mother, Mrs. Doris Ludemann, and a brother, John Mark, live here and a sister is in Hawaii.

Lois Ludemann of Wellsburg to Wed Soon

Wellsburg -- Mrs. J. J. Ludemann, Wellsburg, announces the engagement of her daughter, Lois, to John J. Blumthal, son of Mr and Mrs A.J. Blumthal, Maywood, Ill.

Miss Ludemann is a graduate of Iowa State college, Ames, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. She is a member of the American Dietitian association and was on the staff of Tripler general hospital, Honolulu, T.H., at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Following her returns to the United States, she entered army service and was stationed at Schick hospital, Clinton for a year.

She went overseas wit the 187th general hospital and served 19 months in England before her recent discharge.

The groom-elect has served four and one-half years in the army. He was an infantry officer with the 28th division and saw action in France and Germany.

The wedding will take place in late April and the couple will reside in Maywood.
