Des Moines in the Services

Sgt. Charlotte C. Levin, WAC, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Levin, 939 Third st, has received a commendation from Maj. Gen. Clements McMullen, commander of the Far East air service command. The citation said Sergeant Levin had been exceptionally able in court-martial reporting and had distinguished herself as a reporter in trials which were difficult, complicated and long.

FLYING COURT AID

Sgt. Charlotte C. Levin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Levin, 939 Third st, a court reporter with the staff judge advocate's office at headquarters of the Far East air services command in Manila, has flown 12,000 miles in C-47's s to cover court martials at military installations in New Guinea and Australia. She is shown with Capt. Victory Myers, Dayton, Ohio, engineering officer.
