Bernice Clara Larson was born July 15, 1922 to Lewis and Julia Rando Larson. She joined the WAVES in 1943 and was stationed at Port Columbus, OH and Great Lakes, IL as a Storekeeper 2nd class.
She served as Dean of Women at Waldorf College from 1951-1953. April 6, 1953 she married Arne Boyum in Jewell, IA. They had one son, Paul.
Bernice died July 11, 2015 in Des Moines, IA and is buried at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.
