Pauline Ruth Kallem was born July 19, 1921 to Alvin Benjamin and Ruth Twait Kallem. She graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1939 and joined the US. Navy WAVES in 1944 and was stationed in Miami, FL as a storekeeper 3rd class.
She was married to Edward C. Martin of Portland, TX on Feb. 8, 1946 in Corpus Christi, TX. The groom served three years in the Marine Corps, 18 months in the Pacific Theatre.
Pauline died Mar. 13, 2009 and is buried in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Kileen, TX.
