Des Moines WAC, Yanks Visit Upper Egypt for $12

[Excerpt]

As is appropriate in visiting 3,500-year-old tombs, ranks are left behind. Among the 30 passengers, heavily American, you can find a colonel, two captains and eights WACs, including Mary Juenau, of Des Moines, Ia.

Miss Juneau is daughter of Mrs Agnes Juneau, 1350 Twenty-first st. She is trained at Fort Des Moines, has been overseas since last May and is a singer with a group of entertainers at Camp Huckstep in Cairo. She recently was promoted to sergeant and has been awarded the good conduct medal. The camp is named after the late Maj. Russell B. Huckstep of Des Moines.
