Laura Lois Jennings was born Oct. 24, 1913 to George H. and Lois S. Plummer Jennings. She was an instructor in the Webster City schools before her enlistment in the WAVES in 1943. She took schooling in New York and also served in Washington, D.C., North Carolina and Virginia.
She married Ralph H. Johnson. Lois died Oct. 9, 2001. They are buried in Highland Memory Gardens, Des Moines, IA.
