Des Moines in the Services
Five nurses, all graduate of Iowa Methodist hospital here, have been commissioned second lieutenants in the army nurse corps and now are stationed at Camp Carson, Colo. They are all members of the Red Cross student reserve corps. The women are:
Theresa Gabrielson of Boone, Ia.; Joyce Bremer, of Charles City, Ia.; Alice Lucille Maxfield of Albion Ia.; Laura Janes of Renwick, Ia.; and Ethel Geake of Wall Like, Ia.

Lt. Laura Janes, army nurse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Janes, has been elected as one of five members on the Board of Governors of the Officers club in Manila.
