Lt. Lorenia Hughes

 

 

 

AWAITING SERVICE ORDERS -- Lt. Lorenia Hughes of the army nurse corps, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hughes, 314 Walnut street, is now stationed at Camp Robinson, Ark., awaiting orders for overseas service.

Lt Hughes enlisted in the nurse corps June 1 and was called to report July 6 at Camp McCoy for her basic training. She was subsequently sent to Vaughan general hospital at Hines, Ill., where she remained until November, when she was sent to Camp Robinson. While at Camp Robinson she was taking a course in anesthesia in preparation for overseas service. Her present address is Lieut. Lorenia Hughes, A.N.C., N-74-Field Hospital, Camp Robinson, Ark

Lorenia Mae Hughes Wold was born Dec. 3, 1920 to Kenneth and Urenia M. Swank Hughes. She died Jan. 2, 1998 and is buried in Sunset Memorial Park, Belgrade, MT.

She was married to Odvar Norman Wold. Odvar served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
