Charlotte Eleanor Hia was born Feb. 20, 1925, in Randall, IA to Selmer and Hazel Jacobson Hia. She joined the WAVES in 1945 and was on duty in Washington, D.C. where she received her discharge in 1946. She married Warren S. Lofstedt in 1950. They lived in Mission, KS.
Charlotte died Feb. 18, 2011 and is buried beside her husband in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Randall, IA.
