Beverly Hayes in London with OSS
Miss Beverly Hayes, daughter of Mrs. J.C. Stoddard, 866 Fifth ave SE and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Rechkemmer, Fairbank, has arrived overseas and is serving with the Office of Strategic Services in London. Miss Hayes is believed to be the only Cedar Rapids girls in this line of government work.
Miss Hayes, 26, was with the air transport command in Washington, D.C. for three years before joining the OSS. She left the country following six weeks of special training in New York City. Miss Hayes attended the Oelwein schools. She has a brother, Cpl. Duane E Hayes, stationed at Camp Fannin, Tex.
