Joins Army Nurses Corps
Helen Louise Hauschildt, a registered nurse, is one of the first graduates in the September class of the Mercy hospital in Council Bluffs to have been enlisted as a Red Cross nurse in the army nurse corps.
Miss Hauschldt, a graduate of Abraham Lincoln high school in 1937, was sworn in the nurse corps in Omaha and has been commissioned a second lieutenant.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hauschildt of McClelland, she will report for duty at the army nurse corps training center at Camp Carson, Col., on Jan 20.
