SMOKE
Edna Haase, WAVES hospital apprentice, second class, of Des Moines, lights a cigarette for Bill Fleming, wounded veteran of the battle of Saipan. Fleming, a seaman, first class, is in the San Diego, Cal., naval hospital recovering from fractures in both heels and burns on his neck.
