Blairstown Nurse To Serve Overseas

Blairstown -- Lieut. Emma Grunewald, A.N.C., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Gruenwald, farmers near Blairstown, has just completed 13 months training in physical therapy at O'Riley hospital, Springfield, Mo., and will leave for overseas early in November. She is now spending a 15-day leave with her parents.

A brother, Sergt. Henry Gruenwald, jr., is stationed at Madison, Wis.

IN AUSTRALIA - Second Lt. Emma M. Gruenwald, physical therapy aid in the army medical corps, has arrived in Australia, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.J., Gruenwald of Blairstown, has been advised. Lt. Gruenwald attended Iowa State college, was awarded her physical education degree at the University of Wisconsin and received a year's training at the O'Reilly army hospital at Springfield, Mo., after which she was given her commission.
