Women Go to War, Too

With more than 3,000 members of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps in training at Fort Des Moines and one thousand members of the Women's Naval Reserve expected to take training in December at Iowa States Teachers college in Cedar Falls, Iowa is a hub of activity for women in the service of their country.


Awaiting a call to go into training is Miss Bernice Goldberg, 147 Crescent Drive.

GETS NEW STRIPES -- Busy sewing new stripes on her sleeves is Berniece L. Goldberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Goldberg, 147 Crescent Drive, who is now stationed at the Second WAC Training Center, Daytona Beach, Fla. She was recently promoted from the grade of sergeant to staff sergeant.
