Sigourney, Ia. -- Martha Fisch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Fisch, has been named valedictorian of the Sigourney high school senior class of 53 students, which will be graduated Wednesday, May 20. Her brother, Edwin Fisch, was the 1941 valedictorian.

WOMEN IN SERVICE
Martha Jane Fisch, 20, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Fisch, 212 East Bloomington street, was sworn into the Women's Army Corps this week, the commanding officer of the Iowa Women's Army Corps recruiting office has announced.
Private Fisch is attending the University of Iowa at present and will not be called to active duty until sometime in April. She will then got to Fort Des Moines for basic training. Upon competition of this training, she will receive an assignment to an army medical installation.
Her father, a pharmacist's mate first class, U.S. Navy, is serving in the South Pacific. A sister, Evelyn T. Fisch, is in training with the cadet nurse corps at the University of Iowa.
