DAVENPORT GIRL AT WAC CENTER -- Members of the first contingent of recruits in the All-States Division from Iowa are now in basic training at the Third WAC Training Center, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. On a Saturday afternoon off the group gathers at the Service Club where they play and sing popular tunes along with the "G.I." songs they have learned since their arrival at the training center. Miss Wanda Dooley Assigned to WAC Police Detachment
Miss Wanda Dooley, former Davenport girl, who entered the WACS in October, has been assigned to a Military Police company of the WACS at Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., according to word received here this morning by Lt. Jane Smith, in charge of the Davenport recruiting office.
Miss Dooley was employed at Bishops' cafeteria before entering the service. She received her basic training at Ft. Oglethorpe where all Iowa women are now being trained instead of at Ft. Des Moines.
