WAVE of the Day
Mary Jane Dasso, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sasso, 1212 East Tenth street, has enlisted in the WAVES, and when she receives her orders, will report to Hunter college, New York City, to take her "boot" training.
She attended high school in Indianapolis, Ind., where she was active in glee club, girls athletic association, and was a member of the Sigma Phi Gamma, Delta Eta chapter At the present time, she is employed at the M.L. Parker Co.

Mary Jane Dasso, hospital apprentice first class in the WAVES, arrived today to spend a five-day leave at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Dasso, 1212 East Tenth street. She has been stationed n New Orleans, La., with the medical department of the U.S. Naval air station, to which she will return on completion of her visit here.
Miss Dasso was a student at St. Anthony's hospital school at nursing in Rock Island at the time of her enlistment in the WAVES in July. She trained at Hunter college, New York, and at San Diego, Calif., before being assigned to her present post.
