WAVE of the Day
Betty Lou Carper, seaman, second class, U.S.N.R., 732 Brady street, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Carper, is stationed at Stillwater, Okla., where she is now taking training for a yeoman rating.
Seaman Carper enlisted in the WAVES March 25, 1944 and reported to Hunter college, New York City where she took her "boot" training.
She was employed at the International Harvester Co., prior to entering the service. She has two brothers in the service, Sgt. C.A. Carper and Donald Carper, U.S.N.R.
