Des Moines in the Services
Lavella V. Bushong, 420 College ave., has enlisted in the WAC and now is awaiting call to active duty. She is a graduate of Lincoln High school.

Miss Bushong, D.G. Hildreth Are Married
Cpl. Lavella Virginia Bushong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Bushong, 420 Collège ave., became the bride of Sgt Donald G. Hildreth, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hildreth, S.W. Forth-second st and Army Post rd., July 14 at Gatchel Methodist church.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a printed chiffon floor-length gown fashioned with a fitted bodice and a finger-tup veil. She carried a bouquet of white rosebuds, carnations and sweetpeas.
The bride is a graduate of Lincoln High school and entered the WAC Sept 6., 1944.
Sergeant Hildreth, a graduate f North High school, attended Iowa State college in Ames., prior to his entrance into the service. He was recently returned from 18 months overseas duty.
