Mrs. Ruth Murphy Bruchmann

 

 

 

Mrs. Ruth Murphy Bruchmann, 709 1/2 Gaines street, Davenport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Murphy of this city has enlisted in the WAVES. She attended Immaculate Conception academy and St. Ambrose college.

Mrs. Bruchmann was sworn into the WAVES on the same day that her husband, Walter Bruchmann entered the United States Maritime Service. He has left for the east coast.

WAVE of the Day

Ruth Murphy Bruchmann, seaman second class, of 709 1/2 Gaines street, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Murphy of 231 East Pleasant street, has completed her basic indoctrination course at the Naval Training school, the Bronx New York, and has received orders to report for further instruction in the hospital corps at Bethesda, Md. She is a graduate of St. Ambrose college and Immaculate Conception academy, and was employed as an office assistant to Dr. Wolf, prior to entering the service.

Her husband, Walter S. Bruchmann, is in the U.S. Maritime service, now stationed at Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, New York.
