WAVE of the Day
Having just enlisted in the WAVES, Bernice Eleanor Bargmann, 1032 Kirkwood boulevard, is awaiting her orders to report to Hunter college, New York City, for her "boot" training.
Seaman Bargmann attended the Davenport high school and while there she was interested in bowling, golfing, dramatics, singing, dancing, ice skating, roller skating and had won honors in a quartet.
At the present time she is employed at the Davenport Morris Plan Co, where she is a typist and teller.
Her brother, Pfc. Robert V. Bargmann, AAF, is now stationed at San Antonio, Tex.
