70 Pct. Of Iowa WACs From Fighting Families
A survey of approximately 70 per cent of the total Iowa WAC enlistment reveals its close integration with the war effort through service of members overseas and in this county, and through other members of their families.

Cpl. Mary Balaban of Ventura, whose father served in the Russian army during the Russo-Japanese war, is now on duty as a clerk in the classification section at Fort Riley, Kansas. She had special training in the army administrative school. Her father is V.P. Balaban of Ventura.
