Miss Betty Bailey (Mrs. James Clark)

 

Betty Eileen Bailey, seaman second class, has completed her basic training and indoctrination course at the naval training school for Waves at Hunter college, New York City and will report to the naval air station at Ottumwa, Ia., for duty. Seaman Baily is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Fortune, Route 2, Downing avenue.

Miss Betty Bailey Bride of Seaman Clark Aug. 24

Miss Betty Bailey, seaman first class of the Waves, formerly of Downing avenue, Waterloo, daughter of Mrs. H.C. Fortune of Ottumwa, became the bride of Jack Clark, seaman first class in the navy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Clark of Detroit, Mich., on Aug. 24 in Ottumwa, according to word received here on Wednesday.

The bride was employed by the John Deere Tractor Co., before entering the service in March, 1945. The couple is stationed at the Ottumwa air base.
