Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Austin (Bates) was born May 24, 1921. She died May 4, 2001 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, IA.

Betty served with the U.S. Navy WAVES and was a Pharmacist 3rd Class and designated X-Ray Technician.
