Skipper Returns From Service

Skipper, a Labrador Retriever, returned Thursday to the Dr. J. M. Lloyd family having received his honorable discharge from the K-9 corps of the United States army. Skipper served 14 months, receiving his training at Fort Robinson, Ark., and then sent on sentry duty in the United States. At the completion of his duty, he was returned for rehabilitation training at Fort Robinson. The honorable discharge was presented because of a surplus of sentry duty dogs in the United States. As far as known, Skipper and a Doberman-Pinscher owned by Mrs. E. B. Hammer are the only dogs serving in the K-9 corps.
