MRS. LYNDLEY TO HEAD DRIVE
Tri-State Representative of "Dogs for Defense"

Appointed Friday as the Tri-State representative and inspector in the "Dogs for Defense" campaign, was Mrs. Mildred L. Lyndley, Route 2, Dubuque, according to an announcement by Iowa Regional Director J. H. Schuffman, Davenport.

Mr. Schuffman in his announcement said, "I am confident that Mrs. Lundley's knowledge of working dogs and the selections she will make will aid our organization greatly in obtaining dogs for the Army."

Dogs needed for the Army service, according to Mrs. Lyndley, must be 20 inches at the shoulder and weigh over 50 pounds. Many types of working dogs are needed she added, such as Collies, Doberman Pinchers, and German Shepherds, as well as some types of cross breeds.

Persons who have dogs that are suitable and available should contact Mrs. Lindley as soon as possible. Her mail address is Post Office Box 273.
