Delbert Troy Yardley was born Feb. 7, 1916 to James Blaine and Stella Frances Frazier Yardley. He died Sept. 13, 1944 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, St. Avold, France.
Sgt. Yardley served in World War II with the U.S. Army 313th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division and was KIA in France and was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
