Bertrand Carr Wulf was born Mar. 18, 1915 to Rudolph and Belle Carr Wulf. He died Apr. 3, 1945 and is buried in LInwood Park Cemetery, Boone, IA.
Lt. Wulf served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was KIA near Gotha, Germany. He was awarded posthumously the Distinguished Flying Cross “for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a liaison pilot and observer, Headquarters Battery, 66th Armored Field Artillery Battalion.” He was also awarded the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and had 300 missions to his credit.
