Leonard J. Woodruff, Jr. was born Jan. 25, 1925 to Leonard J. (Sr.) and Anna Elizabeth Veith Woodruff. He died Oct. 14, 1944 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
Pvt. Woodruff served in World War II with the U.S.. Army 135th Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division and was KIA in Italy and awarded the Purple Heart.
