Russell James Woodall was born May 7, 1926 to David and Mildred Jones Woodall. He died Oct. 17, 1976 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.

Seaman Woodall served in World War II aboard the USS Diomedes (ARB 11).

Russell J. Woodall, 50, 401 Linn St., Webster City, died Sunday morning at his home. He had been in ill health four years.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. James Pittman officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Russell James Woodall, son of David and Mildred Jones Woodall was born May 7, 1926 in Webster City where he was reared and educated.

In November, 1945, he was united in marriage to Veronica Crannie and to this marriage one son and two daughters were born.

He is survived by his wife; one son and five daughters: Russell David Woodall or New Orleans, La., Susan Lynn Woodall and Janet Marie Woodall, both of Fort Dodge, April Lynn Woodall. Nancy Marie Woodall, and Michelle Ann Woodall, all of Webster City. He is also survived by two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. VIola Sweazey, Webster City, Mrs. Dean (Gladys) Underwood of Hawthorne, Calif., Harold Woodall of Arlington, Neb., and Gale Woodall of Webster City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
