PERSONALS.

Melvin L. White, S1/c, has returned to Norfolk, Va., after spending a 30-day leave here at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. White, and with other relatives and friends.  Pfc. Elmer W. White also has returned to his post at Fort Bliss, Texas, after a 15-day furlough spent at his home here.

Veteran Given Discharge From Army Duty

Webster City service veteran has received an honorable discharge from the Army under the point system – Pfc. Elmer W. White.

Elmer William White was born Apr. 18, 1920 to John W. and Grace E. Jenkins White. He died Nov. 30, 2002 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Stratford, IA.

Private White served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
