John Henry Walker was born July 3, 1924 to Samuel Nathaniel and Jennie Reil “Reil” Hannah Walker. He died Nov. 24, 1944 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial, Margraten, Netherlands.
Pvt. Walker served with the U.S. Army in World War II and was MIA/KIA/FOD near Schonthal, Germany.

Through the work of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, the remains of Pfc. John H. Walker were accounted for in 2018. His name is permanently inscribed on the “Walls of the Missing” at Netherlands American Cemetery.
Pvt. Walker was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
