John Edwin Vaughn was born Oct. 2, 1921 to John A. and Adda Enloe Vaughn. He died Mar. 31, 1943 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford, IA.
Lt. Vaughn was a pilot with the Army Air Corps Air-trans Command, Alaskan Wing and died as a result of an airplane accident, while serving as a member of the 25th Ferrying Squadron.
