26 FROM IOWA LOST IN ACTION
WASHINGTON, D. C. (AP)—The War Department Saturday listed 26 Iowa soldiers as missing in action in the European and Mediterranean theaters. They were:

Leonard Dwight Tygart was born Dec. 9, 1923 to Charles C. and Lulu B. Melcum Tygart. He died Apr. 13, 1988 and is buried in Pennington Cemetery, Sigourney, IA.
Leonard served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
